Filter Brewing Coffee

Kev’s Filter Favourites
If filter coffee is your daily driver, most of our coffees can be amazing as filter coffee. It simply depends on your taste. For light roast fans, our light to medium roasts such as Custard Cream Nicaragua, Cranberry and Pomegranate Kenya, and Rhubarb Crumble Kenyan Peaberry shine through beautifully in filter brews.
If you're more into rich and satisfying cups or pots of filter coffee, we've got plenty of choice for you too, including bold single origins and smooth, chocolatey blends.
If you don't have a grinder, just select "Pre-Ground—Filter" at checkout, and we'll grind for you before we dispatch your order. If you do, great, just go for whole beans. Either way, you're in for a treat!

Filter Coffee FAQs
Q: Can I use any coffee for filter?
A: Yes, you can use any coffee for any brew method; it’s really all down to individual taste. If you're going for pre-ground, just make sure you’re choosing filter ground, as the grind does matter.
Q: Do you grind for automatic filter coffee machines?
A: Yep! When “Filter” is selected, we pre-grind to order at a grind size intended for filter coffee machines/batch brew. We have a separate grind option for pourover.
Q: Is a lighter roast better for filter Brewing?
A: Better is a subjective thing, as is taste. It’s all about personal preference. If you’re looking for juicy, sweet, acidic, funky, and interesting, you’re probably after light to medium roasts. If you’re after deeper, punchier notes, including chocolate, nut, and more subtle hints of fruit with less acidity, you’re probably best sticking to medium to medium/dark.
