A punchy yet balanced coffee with lots of rich milk and dark chocolate notes, really sings as the base for milkies.

This is a lovely, smooth and chocolatey blend of Brazilian Santos Arabica, Ethiopian Djimmah Arabica and Indian Cherry Robusta coffee beans.

The result of this blend is a bold but balanced and smooth coffee, perfect as a house espresso blend, and as a lovely easy drinking cafetiere or stove top coffee. Also great for espresso-style coffee via Aeropress, using the standard non-inverted method.

How it Tastes

Although this is a classic Italian blend in terms of the mix of Arabica and Robusta, the mix of processing methods, and the medium/dark roast profile, lead to a punchy yet smooth and balanced espresso which has lots of milk chocolate and dark chocolate notes that are really enhanced with milk.

I can drink this all day long, and I usually do ;-). This is what I class as my "house espresso" blend, and I usually have several Kilos of this in the studio. It's very enjoyable, for the balance is just right, and the fact that it's inexpensive doesn't hurt, either!

Brazil Ethiopia & India

This is a blend of carefully chosen high quality coffees including Brazilian Santos Arabica, Ethiopian Djimmah Arabica and Indian Cherry Robusta.

The thoughtful blending & roasting of these beans produces a delectable, punchy yet luxurious rich, chocolatey coffee that is very forgiving for espresso, and works amazingly for milkies.

Excellent

Genuinely wonderful coffee, easy to work with and a wonderful rich crema. Not the most intense coffee in the world but chocolately and rounded :)

Chocolate Brownie Blend

This is the first bag of coffee beans I have tried from The Coffee Works and I have to say I’m very impressed with the flavour and aroma of this coffee. It has a lighter flavour than other coffees I have tried from supermarkets. I found it easier to dial-in the coffee to get the right extraction rate and could taste the difference between correctly extracted coffee and over or under extracted coffee for the first time. It was great to experience a properly balanced cup of coffee and notice the subtle flavours within it. Overall, I found this to be a milder flavoured coffee when made into a latte than other coffees I have tried, but prefer to drink this one either as espresso or americano and enjoy the subtle flavours. I look forward to tasting other coffees from The Coffee Works.

Delicious

I use an espresso machine and coffee produces a delicious chocolate flavour.
Since I basically make a double espresso with hot milk, I leave it to cool slightly between 5-7 minutes and the flavour is more pronounced.

New to coffee, real coffee.

Decided to go to coffee for additional choice of hot drink. Got in touch with Coffee Works and sought advice. Choose Chocolate Brownie Blend they said; I was going to use a cafetière.
Decidedly better than I’d had up until then despite not knowing the faff involved to brew for a non coffee palate.
Now using an Aeropress with the same grind, actually now not having grinds in the bottom of the mug. Using two filters both normal and inverted method plus 2 to 4min brews. All drinkable but my palate can’t make its mind up yet on a best taste.
To date I’ve had 2 to 3 mugs a day for the short period, enjoyed the blend taste, still playing with the method but will be back for another roast flavour.
Oh! Aeropress, simple. I managed to get it total wrong one morning, coffee everywhere 😩
