A punchy yet balanced coffee with lots of rich milk and dark chocolate notes, really sings as the base for milkies.

This is a lovely, smooth and chocolatey blend of Brazilian Santos Arabica, Ethiopian Djimmah Arabica and Indian Cherry Robusta coffee beans.

The result of this blend is a bold but balanced and smooth coffee, perfect as a house espresso blend, and as a lovely easy drinking cafetiere or stove top coffee. Also great for espresso-style coffee via Aeropress, using the standard non-inverted method.

How it Tastes

Although this is a classic Italian blend in terms of the mix of Arabica and Robusta, the mix of processing methods, and the medium/dark roast profile, lead to a punchy yet smooth and balanced espresso which has lots of milk chocolate and dark chocolate notes that are really enhanced with milk.

I can drink this all day long, and I usually do ;-). This is what I class as my "house espresso" blend, and I usually have several Kilos of this in the studio. It's very enjoyable, for the balance is just right, and the fact that it's inexpensive doesn't hurt, either!

Brazil Ethiopia & India

This is a blend of carefully chosen high quality coffees including Brazilian Santos Arabica, Ethiopian Djimmah Arabica and Indian Cherry Robusta.

The thoughtful blending & roasting of these beans produces a delectable, punchy yet luxurious rich, chocolatey coffee that is very forgiving for espresso, and works amazingly for milkies.

Game changer

As a rookie barista on just my second batch of beans (the first was a forgettable choice from Asda), I’d heard that fresh beans are a game changer. Well, they were right! Big thanks to Coffee Kev!

First time with an espresso - Sage Express Impress (Prev used Lavazza A Modo Mio pod machine). Dialled in fairly easily with the Choc Brownie beans and really enjoying as both an Americano and a Flat White, nearly used first Kilo! Think I would like something a little stronger, so have swapped subscription to Classic Italian for next delivery. Looking forward to trying that.

Needed my knowledge to improve chocolate brownie blend

As a recent purchaser of a Sage Barista Pro I am on a dialling in learning curve. I had become incorrectly obsessed 😍 with a 2:1 ratio. I never hit the sweet spot 38gm in 24sec etc and my shots were a mix of sour or bitter until, I was sure my grind was pretty good so I went manual, ignored time and went purely for weight of coffee out (50gm) and bang great tasting espresso leading to a perfect flat white. Lesson is taste every brew and find the ratio you love.
