A punchy yet balanced coffee with lots of rich milk and dark chocolate notes, really sings as the base for milkies.

This is a lovely, smooth and chocolatey blend of Brazilian Santos Arabica, Ethiopian Djimmah Arabica and Indian Cherry Robusta coffee beans.

The result of this blend is a bold but balanced and smooth coffee, perfect as a house espresso blend, and as a lovely easy drinking cafetiere or stove top coffee. Also great for espresso-style coffee via Aeropress, using the standard non-inverted method.

How it Tastes

Although this is a classic Italian blend in terms of the mix of Arabica and Robusta, the mix of processing methods, and the medium/dark roast profile, lead to a punchy yet smooth and balanced espresso which has lots of milk chocolate and dark chocolate notes that are really enhanced with milk. I can drink this all day long, and I usually do ;-).

This is what I class as my "house espresso" blend, and I usually have several Kilos of this in the studio. It's very enjoyable, for the balance is just right, and the fact that it's inexpensive doesn't hurt, either!

Brazil Ethiopia & India

This is a blend of carefully chosen high quality coffees including Brazilian Santos Arabica, Ethiopian Djimmah Arabica and Indian Cherry Robusta. The thoughtful blending & roasting of these beans produces a delectable, punchy yet luxurious rich, chocolatey coffee that is very forgiving for espresso, and works amazingly for milkies.

Top quality

Now I will start by stating that personal preference is purely subjective, but I do love these beans! Perfect for espresso or latte/ flat white - a solid all rounder. What isn’t subjective is the quality of the beans; they’re always freshly roasted and pull lovely espresso (subject again to individual barista skills).

I have been subscribed to a monthly order and every month I wait in anticipation for my next batch!

I have tried a lot of different rasters and beans and these are the ones I always prefer. It’s proof expensive beans do not equal better coffee!

I am no barista, I have watched A LOT of Kev’s videos to get my set up as good as it can be (so thank you), but it’s true the most important elements are good beans followed by good barista skills. So if your shots aren’t as you’d like, it may not be the beans. I also don’t have an expensive set up, mid range machine and a fellow opus grinder and I make good coffee thanks to his videos AND beans.

If you’re after top quality coffee beans you can’t go wrong with CW!

Finally, I do love that it comes in an easy to reseal bag.

Thank you for such a fantastic review, Tim.
We are so pleased you are enjoying the Chocolate Brownie Blend, it is also Kev's favourite coffee too :-)

Just missing some oomph

It was okay. I’ve correctly dialled and pulled different ratios of this coffee but it just seems okay… nothing bad about it just nothing I would rave about. I have ordered the dark chocolate biscoff blend to see if that packs more of a punch and mouth feel

Thanks for your review, Matthew,

You may also find it helpful as you dial in the Dark Chocolate and Biscoff :-)
