This organic single origin coffee is grown close to Lake Kivu in Rwanda, on the slopes of the amazing Virunga mountains.
There are a few different flavour notes which came to mind when cupping this coffee, including the flavours of aromatic wood reminiscent of barrel-aged Scotch whiskey.
It's when drinking this coffee with milk (my favourite milky being flat white), however, that the scotch whiskey flavour becomes particularly prominent.
