Taste Notes: A well balanced blend of fruity notes & darker, spicy flavours, leading to a lingering flavour reminiscent of Christmas cake. Low Acidity, medium to full bodied.

This is a dark roasted blend of 100% Arabica coffee beans from Colombia, India & Papua New Guinea.

It's relatively low acidity coffee, yet there's a really well-balanced lingering fruity flavour, which thanks to being balanced with the darker slightly spicy notes, reminds me of fruitcake.

In my opinion, the best part of Christmas cake is that dark fruitcake sitting under the sickly icing.

I have a bit of a sweet tooth, so I do like that ridiculously sweet icing - but on its own.

I'd usually eat it separately to the cake, as that rich dark fruitcake is far too good on its own to spoil it with the sweet icing.

When I first cupped this coffee, the first thing I was reminded of, was this dark, fruity Christmas cake.

This is a blend of  the following Arabica coffee beans:

India:

Region: Mysore
Process: Washed
Varietal: Cauvery (Catimor)

Colombia:

Region: Medellin
Process: Washed
Varietal: Caturra, Typica, Bourbon

Papua New Guinea:

Region: Goraka, Eastern Highlands
Process: Washed
Varietal: Typica, Arusha, Bourbon

Freshly Eco Roasted and packed in 100% curbside recyclable bags.

Fruitcake Blend

Dark, soft, moist beans, mild & subtle in flavour, well balanced and very easy drinking.

Just about useable

Not a great taste , going to stick to more fuller roasts and 5 star beans

Thanks Roy. Sorry you didn't like it. It could just be a taste thing, we're all different, but if you let me know as much as possible about how you brewed, I'll try to recreate these results best I can and then create a brew guide specifically for this brew method & this coffee. Cheers, Kev.

My second favourite

My second favourite is Fruitcake Blend. Not quite up there with Choc & Nut - perhaps more tweaking needed to the amount put in the cafetiere.

Deep, rich, and a great intro to Coffeeworks

This was my first coffee from Coffeeworks and a really fantastic, rich and dark coffee it was too. Highly enjoyable, sad it's all gone!
