Taste Notes: A bold yet balanced coffee, with a natural cacao bitterness, and a long, lingering & enjoyable aftertaste.

This is a blend of two coffees both from the Rwenzori estates in Uganda.

Being a 50/50 Arabica & Robusta blend, it's STRONG in terms of caffeine, and in terms of flavour it's certainly bold - yet balanced.

This is a blend of high quality Arabica and Robusta, and it's not roasted overly dark - the result is a powerful cup of coffee with a long lingering aftertaste, but a wake up with a smile, not a grimace!

There's bitterness there for me, but it's an enjoyable very dark chocolate bitterness that reminds me of cacao nibs.

Have you ever munched on cacao nibs? I have, mainly in Greek Yogurt, if you're on a low carb diet & you're wanting something to give some flavour and texture to something healthy but a bit bland, I think cacao nibs are great.

By the way, I know that cocoa and cacao is the same thing, but for whatever reason, in this form, they're usually referred to as cacao.

Anyway, for those who haven't chomped cacao, they have a very dark chocolate bitterness, it's unsweetened cocoa, basically - and for me, this is a flavour which is definitely bitter, but enjoyable.

Not my cup of tea

Quite bitter, no real body to flavour

Hi James, sorry you didn't enjoy it. There is a bitterness but it should be a very full bodied flavour with an enjoyable background bitterness, if you've experienced an abundance of bitterness I'd assume over extraction. If you email me to let me know how you brewed, I'll produce a brew guide for this coffee & brew method. Cheers, Kev.

Love this

There are three very fussy drinkers in our house, but we’ve finally found a coffee we all love. This is definitely a bean that has something for everyone - top marks, have already made my second order!

Really delicious coffee!

Really pleased with my first order of coffee. The blend is smoot, rich and slightly chocolaty. Very nice.

Bit too choclatey for me

Strangely my wife loves it as an Americano . So not all was lost. Not my kind of flat white sorry.
